GRODNO, 15 August (BelTA) – Belarus and Poland will soon hold meetings to discuss cooperation in agriculture. This was agreed at the working meeting of the agriculture ministers of the two countries at the Agrokombinat Skidelsky company, Grodno District, on 14 August, BelTA has learned.
Belarus' Agriculture and Food Minister Leonid Zayats and Agriculture and Rural Development Minister of Poland Marek Sawicki discussed a range of issues related to agricultural production. Top on the agenda was Russia's ban on food imports from the EU and some other states.
The ministers discussed a possibility to attract Polish investments into the agricultural sector.
The parties voiced plans to hold meetings soon to work out a cooperation plan taking into consideration the current developments. Preliminary agreements were reached on the participation of Belarus and Poland in the exhibitions to be held in the two countries in the nearest future.
